The number of fishing permits is limited and restricted to one specific beat. That means that you cannot fish in various waters on one and the same day with the same permit. That may appear rather restrictive at first sight but it guarantees that our angling guests have enough space to enjoy their fishing.
The permits are allocated by the hotel, taking into consideration the water conditions and the wishes and preferences of our guests as far as possible. The permits are issued at the reception desk in the morning and are to be handed in again in the evening.
In our waters the basic equipment is a fly rod, fly line and an artificial fly with no barb. It is only on the Greater Drau that you can fish with 2 flies and additional weights.
You are permitted to take your catch back to the hotel where it will be cooked for your evening meal. Grayling females and Danube salmon are protected all year round.
